Explore NowIn 2024, Joe Letcavage wanted to create his photography portfolio online outside of the lanes of popular socical media. While learning to code the website, he had an idea: What about a magazine? In September, CROSSWALK Magazine was created. Inspired by the art zines, Joe would stumble across at local art shows and coffee shops, along with creative series like NPR's Tiny Desk Concert and Triple J's Like a Version. This magazine is primarily dedicated to emerging voices and independent artists to help encourage and foster a community of belonging and appreciation for their time and efforts. "I love hearing about people and their passions. I love to see someone light up. Even the most mundane-sounding person will perk up and become excited when you want to hear about something they are interested in. I took that concept and ran with it while also asking for artists' advice for others and words of encouragement.
In 2025, the project expanded beyond print by creating "Crosswalk.Ink" an online platform highlighting worldwide artwork, stories, and creative culture.
Why call it CROSSWALK? The word is a tongue-in-cheek way of saying that artists' content is come across by people and artists from all walks of life. It's as simple as that.
CROSSWALK gives artists and storytellers a place to have a voice. Art is for everyone, and anyone can have the ability to create it. We believe it shouldn’t matter where you’re from, who you know, or how many followers you have. The goal for CROSSWALK is simple: create a space where anyone can share their work, get inspired, inspire others, and network with fellow artists. Whether you’re an artist, writer, photographer, amateur, or expert, CROSSWALK is here to put your work into the world and give you a new avenue to explore.
